I’m a social scientist with a background in criminology, sociology and social and economic history. I currently work as a researcher at the National Bureau of Investigation.  I’m also working on a doctoral thesis that focuses on neighbourhood disadvantage and crime.

I have a master’s degree in sociology of law and criminology from University of Turku. I’ve worked at the National Institute for Health and Welfare and the National Research Institute for Legal Policy, since 2015 known as the Institute of Criminology and Legal Policy. I’m active in several academic associations, The Finnish Society of Criminal Law and Criminology and The Finnish Association for Legal and Social Sciences.
